Chutney Sausage Rolls
These sausage rolls are a delicious way of using up jars of chutney or relish that have been gifted or bought over the festive season. Make a plate of these and serve them at a Christmas or New Year buffet, or offer them as a snack to visitors popping in for coffee.
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C fan (220°C non fan).
2. Unroll the pastry sheet and cut it in half lengthways.
3. Taking one half sheet at a time, brush the long top half of this half-sheet with water horizontally. Then, place the sausages in a horizontal line just below the area you’ve just brushed with water (as they don’t have their skins, you will be able to join the sausages together). Then spread a thin layer of chutney along the bottom half, leaving a gap of approximately 1 cm around the edge.
